TDI Homes wants to bring your New Home Vision to life. Whether you know exactly what you want or you want to start from a blank sheet, we can make it happen. We understand that building a new home is a complex and challenging decision. Our experienced team will ensure craftsmanship is built into your new home all while providing a smooth construction process that delivers your home on time and on budget.

Consultation
Consultation is the first step in our process. We meet with you to discuss your lifestyle, aesthetic style, and features that you are looking for in your new home. We'll discuss size, location, wish list, and anything else you have that will help us understand your dream home vision.

Lot Acquistion
Finding the right lot to build your new home can be a challenge in the Northern Virginia market. TDI Homes is very familiar with the market and can assist you to acquire off-market and recently listed properties in desired neighborhoods. We may already have a lot that fits your needs.

Design
Our design process generally follows the following steps: Conceptual drawings, Floorplan development, Exterior elevation, and Interior selections. We can start with one of our existing plans, or with ones that you may have come across or laid out yourself. We can work with your architect or develop your design entirely in-house.

Permits
TDI Homes takes your completed drawings and works with our engineers to prepare a submission-ready set of construction documents. TDI Homes handles the submission, monitoring, and issuing of your permits all the way through the process until we have permits in hand!
Construction and Delivery
Once we have permits issued, we begin demolition and construction. Your project manager will take over the daily management of construction and will coordinate with you on a weekly basis throughout the process to ensure your new home meets the original design and is completed on time.

Project Kick-Off
We will meet with you on-site to review the planned schedule, the construction tasks, site rules and safety, and we will review the approved plans and selections prior to construction. Following the Kick-Off meeting, we will begin demolition/deconstruction.

Construction
We will meet with you throughout the project, usually on-site. These meetings serve as both updates on the progress of construction, but we will also confirm/adjust field decisions such as locations of electrical fixtures and switches, plumbing fixtures, etc. We can also address any concerns you may have while under construction.

Completion
We will walk the entire property with you once complete as part of our homeowner orientation. We'll capture any remaining punch list items and review the operation of all the systems in your new home. We'll also review our warranty program and tentatively schedule our 9 month follow up.
